The Wadley Senior Center will host a Grand Opening event on July 31st from 11am to 2pm. There will be remarks and a ribbon cutting by the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce at 11:00 am. Immediately following the brief ceremony, the spacious building will be open for tours with the Clinic Staff available to answer questions and even schedule appointments. The doors will formally open on Thursday, August 1st. As a part of the Grand Opening, a mini health fair will be available to enjoy in the Community Room located on the East side of the building. There will be a wide variety of healthcare information as well as free blood screenings.

The Wadley Senior Clinic is an out-patient department of Wadley Regional Medical Center with a mission of improving the quality of life by promoting healthy aging. It is a primary care clinic that will see patients 55 years of age and older. “There is limited access to primary care for the Medicare population and especially on the Arkansas side of Texarkana,” explains Thomas Gilbert, CEO of Wadley Regional Medical Center. “We are excited about being able to serve this population and see endless possibilities for our clinic.” Being devoted exclusively to serving the healthcare needs of the older adult, the Wadley Senior Clinic will offer comprehensive and specialized care to help maintain the maximum level of independence, health and well being of its patients. With a specially trained staff who are uniquely sensitive to the needs of patients 55 years of age or older, the healthcare team is anchored by Geriatricians and Geriatric Nurse Practitioners who will work closely with the team of nurses, clinical pharmacists, social workers and dietitians as well as the families to meet each patient’s individual health care needs.

The new SeniorConnection program will be introduced at the Grand Opening.
